How To Train A Puppy?
People generally assume that training a puppy is a very tough task to accomplish. However, what really matters is the type of approach and handling you use. Let me tell you the right and easy way of training your puppy.
Your puppy should always be under your observation. If you will keep an eye on your puppy, he or she will not be able to chew on thing or go and use the bathroom in the house; you will be always there when they need to go out. If you do not have enough time to keep an eye then get a good dog kennel for your puppy. Get a leash and let your puppy drag it. A web leash made out of nylon that is up to 6 feet long would be good. Just stand on it whenever you want your puppy to stay around you or tie it with your door to chair so you can keep an eye whenever you are busy with something else.
Handling puppies properly is very important. Touch the hind end, check their belly, check their teeth, rub the ears, touch the paws etc. This will make sure that your puppy gets used to be touched by adults, children, groomer, and the vet. Socialization is also very vital in order to make sure that your puppy is developing properly. In simple words, they will never learn how to react and behave out of the house when you do not take them out. Just take your puppy whenever you get a chance until they are mature and know how the world is like out there.
Motivation is very important when you are teaching your puppy how to roll over, go down, or sit. This will teach your puppy to be obedient. By learning how to roll over and lay down your puppy will learn that you are the leader and they have to submit and remain calm in front of you or when you tell them to.
Do not only use words to make them act accordingly; make use of hand signals as well. Dogs are the best in knowing the body language more than words; this way your puppy will understand a lot better about what you want from it. This should be done as early as possible so the puppy reacts well around other people and obey you not only in the house but outside when you signal him or her to do something. Whenever your puppy does something right, appreciate it by giving him a treat.

These are greats tips and they do work. I tried it on my own two, Harvey a 8 month old dog and Tashi a 7 month old Shih Tzu. I leave them with a treat and toys when I go out and most of the time they are so occupied with the tasty chew bar they don’t even notice me leaving!
